valde joins North
After a prolonged period of speculation, Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså has joined North, the Danish team has confirmed.
Three months after Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså was benched on HEROIC, the Danish player has found a new home and will be joining his former team's local rivals—North.
The squad under Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's leadership was without a fifth player since the Major ended when they too decided to bench one of their players, Emil "Magisk" Reif, leaving them with four. After valde was released from HEROIC in July, it seemed like it was just a matter of time before the the 22-year-old joined North.
With this news now out, North have confirmed their roster for the upcoming season, which they will kick-off online in ESL Pro League before featuring at their first offline event, DreamHack Masters Malmö.
This is what the team said about the addition of valde:
"Today we are happy to announce the acquisition of Valdemar “valde” Vangså. Valdemar has been practicing with the team for the last week, in preparation for ESL Pro League Season 6 and DreamHack Masters Malmö."
"Valdemar arrives on a free transfer, after seeing his contract expire with Heroic in June."
valde added a few word of his own in the Facebook announcement:
"I am ecstatic to get the opportunity to play in an organization of North’s size and stature, and I am ready to step up and make a positive difference in the team. I have been practicing in Telia Parken with the boys for the last week, and I cannot wait to kick things off with both ESL Pro League and DreamHack Masters Malmö this month."
North now have the following roster:
Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke
René "cajunb" Borg
Philip "aizy" Aistrup
Valdemar "valde" Bjørn VangsåCasper "ruggah" Due (coach)
