FaZe defeat OpTic in ECS S3 Finals opener

The first game of the tournament started out on Overpass, with OpTic picking up the Counter-Terrorist pistol round and the subsequent two. FaZe would then grab their first with a fast B execution, setting them up for to a 3-3 stalemate.

OpTic were still able to buy one more time, but their economy was left in tatters as FaZe secured their fourth round. Following a save round from James "⁠hazed⁠" Cobb's men, the North American squad managed to take a 7-5 lead by taking four rounds in a row. However, after winning three straight rounds,FaZe secured an 8-7 half-time lead.

Oscar "⁠mixwell⁠" Cañellas' squad began the second half with a B execution and managed to secure the bombsite. Still, with Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard adding four frags to his name, FaZe picked up the pistol round in a retake play.

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen' fivemen then easily reached the thirteen-round mark before losing their first rounds of the half. OpTic seemed to be ready to pick up another round, but Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli and rain clutched a 2v4, opening the way for their team to close out Overpass 16-9.
