acoR, mertz leave eFuture

Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand and Daniel "mertz" Mertz are no longer part of eFuture's Danish team, the players have announced.

The move follows eFuture's group stage exit at China Cup following defeats against 5Power and Fnatic Academy, with both matches going to a third map.

This leaves the Danish team, formerly known as Team123, with the gargantuan task of replacing their top performers from the Chinese event, where Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand posted a 1.14 Rating, while Daniel "mertz" Mertz had a 1.00 Rating.

mertz and acoR leave eFuture

The news is the second blow to eFuture, coming shortly after the departure of coach Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen, who has been seen guiding Heroic in recent matches.

"acoR and I have decided to leave eFuture for reasons which we will not discuss at the moment," Mertz told HLTV.org.

"We have had a couple good months with the organisation and with the players, it has been a great journey.

"acoR and I were never under any contract, which is why our departure came at this point in time.

"We wish all the best in the world to our former teammates and hope to see them again with a full lineup. Only time will tell what the future holds for me and acoR, nothing is decided."

eFuture, who sit in eighth place in ESEA Premier, are currently trying out Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen and Wisti "zEptonL" Holst, formerly of Alpha Gaming and Singularity, respectively, leaving their roster as follows:

Denmark Christian "rezex" Bjerregaard
Denmark Rasmus "SandeN" Sanden
Denmark Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen
Denmark Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen (trial)

Well, all 3 top Danish teams have stable rosters and Pimp is too ambitious to end up playing with Tricked or other shitters so he has to build smth by himself. There aren't too many decent free agents in DK atm tho. Percy would be good pickup imo, guy is toxic af afaik but still pretty decent player.

I think Tricked could become quite good with Pimp actually.
2017-03-26 14:08
xD There is actually alot of good free agents in Denmark
2017-03-27 08:30
Would be quite a downgrade for Pimp.

Calling it now: Rogue will get rid of the bulgarians and LOMME and add: Pimp acoR mertz (cadian) (tenzki)

That's also a possibility. But I can't see both mertz and cadiaN in one team as both are AWPers. CadiaN is not that good with rifle, moving mertz to rifling would be a waste as well.

Doubt it. Why would they want another Awper in mertz? Would be stupid. If Rogue is changing the Bulgarians, i think it will be to take Glace back, and add Percy, and even keep Lomme who has been very impressive, and could take the IGL role, so that CadiaN could focus even more on this awping. Pimp is made for something else. I could easily see him in Tricked, with AcilioN, Friis, Hunden and es3tag. Some former stars, with one bright talent in es3tag. Seems more realistic to me. mertz will be an easy pickup for CPH Flames, Fragsters, or Singularity. AcoR will more likely end up in FUAH, NoOrg or something. EDIT: But what i do hope is that he takes Hunden's spot in Tricked, and Hunden starts to coach instead, and then AcilioN starts to call as he did in Splyce. A lineup consisting of B0rup, Es3tag, AcilioN, Friis and Pimp. I see this is a good top 20 HLTV contender over time.

lul xD forget about percy. hes toxic and overrated. lomme? not good enough glace was kicked for a reason cadian is smart enough to pass the awp to a young up and coming star. why would mertz and acor (best players in efuture) leave efuture to join worse ranked teams? use you logic dude. the fact that they never signed for efuture suggest that a roster swap has been planned for a quite some time, which pretty much eliminates them going to lower tier danish teams (that are known for swapping players spontaneously) can you imagine pimp going from a top5 na team to play with hunden? cmon dude. remember he requested to leave willingly mertz and acor will join rogue or an international team where pimp will go is a mystery. i think he is guaranteed a spot on rogue if he wants it, but i could see him in dignitas instead of pita in a few months time

They left because they got benched. Nothing to do with joining a new team. Hopeless to discuss with somebody who has No knowledge of the situation

jesus christ. read the articles from dust2: "Fra dags dato vil acoR og mertz ikke længere være en fast del af eFuture lineuppet, da de har valgt at leave holdet." hltv: "acoR and I have decided to leave eFuture for reasons which we will not discuss at the moment," nothing indicates they were benched??? dont know why you just assume that.

tricked : -friis -hunden +acor + mertz, hunden as a coach. Friis is too inconsistent to play in Tricked, if they wanna be a top 20 team they have to get rid of him imo.

He brings a decent amount of firepower, but nothing close to mertz. acoR for zEpton is pretty much 1:1, but zepton is not a great lanplayer. Basically eFuture just became an even bigger online team than they were before. Hopefully theyll overcome that hurdle in time.
