kaze joins Flash Gaming

Flash Gaming have announced that they have completed their roster with the addition of Andrew "kaze" Khong from JYP.

Andrew "⁠kaze⁠" Khong, 22, will join Chinese quartet YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai, QiFang "⁠Karsa⁠" Su, KunHua "⁠LOVEYY⁠" Bai and YuanZhang "⁠Attacker⁠" Sheng in this new project, which is supported by private investors and offers players a stake in the company as co-owners.

The Malaysian player, who will move to China at the start of next month with his family, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Asian Counter-Strike, with a LAN rating of 1.21.

He becomes the latest player from Southeast Asia to pursue a career in China, following Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand's move to TyLoo and Ngoc "⁠Zac⁠" Thien Nguyen's transfer to Born of Fire.

"I am really happy and proud to be part of Flash Gaming," Khong said in a statement. "I would like to thank them for taking me, it is a big opportunity and a great honour to play with top players from China.

"With this lineup, I hope we will represent Asia at international events and even at Majors! We will give our best.

"I would like to thank JYP Gaming and their owners but all the support, and also the players for the great time we had.

"A special 'thank you' goes to Aiman "aimaNNN" Azham for bringing me to the team, and also to Aaron "pkzid" Pereira for teaching me so much. I have learned a lot from you."

Flash and JYP have also agreed that kaze will play out the rest of the ZEN Esports Network League with the Malaysian team, HLTV.org has learned. JYP currently sit second in the Asian group, with a 3-3 record.

The Chinese team's lineup will consist of:

Oh cmon, Flash wtf is this. I mean kaze ain't bad, but what about Savage or zhokiNg? They probs ran in some problems so VG didn't wanna let go of zhokiNg and Savage.

Savage is known to have an ego the size of China and he doesnt get along so well with Tyloo players including fancy and Attacker, something about the new generation of Chinese players not giving him enough respect despite his 1.6 status

It's not ego but it's well known the chinese scene is like the french scene. There a lot of politics and people who want to only play and stick with their friends (savage and tb, fancy and attacker and karsa [as you see, in the end attacker followed fancy1 since he was his closest buddy in Tyloo], advent and zhoking, etc etc ) and also players not getting along with other players (especially old school generation players vs new school like most tyloo players , excluding mo and hz who's been around since 1.6). It's all politics. Also regarding the Tyloo fiasco, 'SOMEBODY' was initially removed because he was willing to follow fancy1/attacker/karsa to another team because he was afraid he would be left alone with a team that won't have a chance to compete if the main members left (fancy1 instigated this since he will not stay on the team if captainMo is on the roster), but after speaking to him 'SOMEBODY' decided to stay and Tyloo accepted since Tyloo found out that SOMEBODY was a neutral person who had never initiated leaving and was just following the majority of the team, and was willing to stay with Tyloo after they talked to him. Attacker on the other hand refused to talk and negotiate with Tyloo after fancy1/karsa officially was removed. You can read more about it here from Kindy's statement including chat logs with fancy1 (Tyloo manager who exposed everything after fancy1's false claims, basically fancy1 was a greedy guy who created all the false drama and got removed for trying to hijack the roster and get mo kicked for his buddy karsa which he showed favoritism to): weibo.com/ttarticle/p/show?id=2309404063.. If you cannot understand chinese, use google translate, you will get most of the idea, to help you out when using google translate, 'cabbage' refers to attacker' and 'little devil' refers to SOMEBODY. Also the chinese do not like to change rosters unless absolutely necessary, they like to grow with their teammates and succeed and fail together, that's a culture thing.

This is really exciting to see - Asians from different countries joining together to make mixed teams. This is just like Europeans making a team comprised of players from multiple countries. I hope Asian teams continue to do this as it is something "new", at least for me.
