fnatic qualify for SL i-League S3

fnatic secured a spot at the StarSeries SL i-League Season 3 LAN finals by defeating HellRaisers 2-1 (13-16 Cobblestone, 16-10 Train, 16-7 Inferno) in the deciding match of the closed qualifier.

fnatic started the qualification by defeating their own academy team 2-0 and followed that up by defeating their up-and-coming countrymen Epsilon with the same score.

In the deciding game, Robin "flusha" Rönnquist and co. were matched against HellRaisers and started the series on Cobblestone. The European mixture had a good first map, thanks in large to the heroics of Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk and the 1v1 clutches that went their way. After closing out Cobblestone, HellRaisers were in the driving seat on the first half of Train, leading 9-2 on the Terrorist side.

The Swedes were able to come back towards the end of the half, and a 1v2 pistol round clutch from Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson kicked off the complete comeback. fnatic only dropped one round on the Terrorist side of Train to secure the map win with a 16-10 scoreline. The final map was Inferno, and after a tight start to the decider, we saw Dennis "dennis" Edman kick into a higher gear once again as his team ran away with the scoreline. It was 16-7 in the end to make it 2-1 in favor of fnatic for the series.

flusha had couple of brilliant individual moments in the series

The following teams are now qualified for SL i-League Season 3:

Brazil SK  Poland Virtus.pro  Denmark North  Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas
Denmark Astralis  Europe FaZe World Natus Vincere  Kazakhstan Gambit
Korea MVP Project  China TYLOO China 5POWER Brazil Immortals
France G2 Sweden fnatic Europe EU qualifier  Other NA qualifier

The NA slot for the tournament will be decided tonight, with the winner between CLG and Renegades taking the spot, while the last EU spot will go to the winner of the HellRaisers - Envy match.

he calls fnatic shit so you link a game from 5 months ago, LOOOOOOL okay. what an autistic comeback.

Oh look, an hltv kid using autism as a profanity, how immature. Time hardly matters here, same lineup, hellraisers are always very underrated.

Time hardly matters here, same lineup, Time hardly matters? A lot changes in 5 months. You can't just take 1 random BO1 from ages ago and use it as an argument because they beat VP narrowly when VP would most likely destroy them now since they're the 2nd best team in the world. Not to mention that you link a game vs VP because of the '<3 Virtus.pro' next to his name, no, that's definitely not an immature argument at all. How hypocritical.
2017-03-21 19:44

VP was arguably just as good back then, they ended 2nd in that tournament, and Hellraisers where just as much of an underrated team with upset potential back then as they are now. Hellraisers won their map 16-13 if I'm not mistaken, so that would be basically just as narrow victory as the one vs VP I linked to so I don't know why the narrowness is an argument. Of course I picked a VP game because of that, but please explain how that is in any way immature. If I chose an other match he can just say that the team hellraisers beat was also a bad team, but if I pick a VP game he will not use that excuse. It will also make him realize that if they could beat his team, then maybe he should be less demeaning. All part of proving the point in an efficient way. But I know you just threw that immaturity bs in to try and make a snappy comeback, failed miserably though.
2017-03-21 20:54
Now you have a couple of brand spanking new games, happy?
2017-03-23 00:48
How did VP do vs Hellraisers tonight? Worse than Fnatic I think, a lot worse.

But I never said they are the best team in the world, did I? You are really butthurt over a comment I actually totally forgot about, go and seek help dude

Not butt hurt at all, just hilarious that you mock other team and then the team you <3 fails even harder and you pretend you don't care. It's ok to cry. Or even better just learn to be modest and not try to mock others like a 12yo kid.

well you are butthurt coz you actually remembered my comment and came back here right after vp lost, really seems like you were waiting for the opportunity which is quite sad, and I am not pretending I don't care, I don't actually care if they lose some online matches, I am a fan of the team, not a fan of results like most of the people on this site. and your argument fails because I never claimed VP is any better than fnatic or others, but saying fnatic is best team in the world right now is ridiculous and if you disagree with that, I have no more to say to you.

16 4 vs Optic or 16 4 vs CLG have same interest to me. At least when CLG is rekt we don't suffer to see former good players falling in hell
2017-03-20 23:10
I hope that OpTic will play at the level from about, let's say, 4-5 months, when they were in the top 5 teams in the world.

was a good game, HR played very well considering who they were up against. as for fnatic, they still have a lot to prove yet if they even want to be considered a top team anymore, making this tournament even more exciting. can't wait.
