Heroic complete the buyout of JUGi

It is now official that Heroic and Tricked have agreed on the transfer fee for the Danish AWP talent Jakob "JUGi" Hansen.

HEROIC have now confirmed that they have completed the buyout of the Danish AWP talent Jakob "JUGi" Hansen which means he will be transfered from Tricked with immediate effect.

13 days ago HLTV.org reported that Tricked and HEROIC were in a conflict over the transfer of the Danish player, as the latter organization didn't want to pay the price tag Tricked had put on JUGi.

JUGi will fill out Friis' spot in Heroic. (Photo: RFRSH)

As a result of the conflict, the Dane was benched in Tricked after which he signed a contract with HEROIC starting on January 1st 2018.

Now it all seems to be in order as the organizations have agreed on the transfer fee which allows the 19-year-old player to move to HEROIC.

JUGi's future looked very dark when he was benched in Tricked so he is obviously very happy about the move to HEROIC.

"It feels great! I’ve had a good time with Tricked, but am looking very much forward to starting up with Heroic, who have the ambitions and also the quality to become a really strong contender internationally.

I know a couple of the guys very well, but of course, I have to get used to their style of play and find my own position, but there is such a great vibe on this team, it will not be a problem. Everybody is hungry and ambitious on the team, and I look forward to playing with them, but also to be a part of the set-up provided by RFRSH. Everything here is top professional, and I can’t wait to get started."

Nikolaj Nyholm, the CEO at RFRSH, the company behind HEROIC, gave the following statement to HLTV.org about the buyout of the young Dane.

"We are very happy that Heroic signed one of the brightest talents out there. Jakob "JUGI" Hansen has already now established himself as a great player and a profile on Tricked, and by joining Heroic, he will be a part of a young, hungry roster, which we see as a strong contender to be a part of the international top 10.

Needless to say, we’re very satisfied that the transfer is now in place and he can join the team with immediate effect."

HEROIC are now:

Seems you've got the danish scene under control :) Though i would like moddii to stay in heroic, i think he plays a really important role. And just a question: is mertz better than SandeN? Team123 have been doing great! But i've thought that sanden has been the best of them (just watched a few games)
2017-02-21 18:33
1 reply
Moddii has an important role, and is indeed an important player for Heroic! But read #98 ^^^ :) Well Mertz is the best Awper on the team and Sanden is the best "Rifler" on team123.. So you can't really compare them like that. But Tricked needs a dedicated awper and i see no better player than Mertz to fill out the gap from Jugi. Rogue seems to have a bit of communication problems especially in stressed situations.. So by adding Sanden and Acilion to Rogue they would be able to communicate in Danish and let Acilion make the mid-round calls, so that Cadian can focus only on the AWP:)
2017-02-21 18:50
+99 BUT Tricked: -Hunden. Heavy bottomfrag +Acilion Rogue: +Snappi Left: Friis. Smf. Nico. Hunden. Percy.

I'd never sign any contract with Tricked organisation after what they did with Yugi ... I think they are still in the age of slaves where when you owned a slave you could have sold it(him) for the money. This days it's the same, but it's called "organisation" and "player", but imo Yugi was a hostage of his boss. GL for Friis , i hope he get back to CSGO on decent level.

This is going to be a sick team. Im glad Jugi choose the right path and that he kept on going, could have been a total disaster if not.
